ERIN LOUISE CLANCY creates functional ceramics to be enjoyed at the table and in the home. Utilizing traditional practices of ceramics and illustration, all work is handmade and inherently unique.

Erin has been creating ceramics for businesses and individuals since 2014. Her pieces are used throughout NYC and can be enjoyed at Sey Coffee, Rule of Thirds, HAGS, as well as other restaurants and cafes. Prior to focusing on wheel-thrown ceramics, she created hand drawn illustrations and prints for both commercial clients and exhibition. Her visual art and ceramic work has been shown in juried, group, and solo shows nationally.

She currently lives and works in Ridgewood, Queens with her husband Solomon Olmstead. All of her ceramics are made start-to-finish in her studio.

Each ceramic piece is wheel-thrown or built by hand, trimmed, glazed, and fired in an electric kiln to 2232 degrees.

Stoneware from Standard Clay in Carnegie, Pennsylvania is used for the production of all tableware. Base glazes are mixed by hand in small batches. Pattern decoration utilizes select commercial glazes and under-glazes. As each piece is made and glazed by hand, slight variations in color and design are a natural part of the process.

Tableware pieces (with the exception of those specified or with gold luster) are dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe. Hand wash for longevity.
