Policies & Safety Waiver for Private Lessons

Rescheduling/Cancellation Policy:
Private lessons may be rescheduled or cancelled with a full refund up to 7 days before a booked lesson. Lessons cancelled within 7 days of your scheduled class are non-refundable. Class series may be rescheduled or cancelled with full refund up to 7 days before the first booked lesson. To reschedule a class in a series once it has begun, please email hello@erinlouiseclancy.com for availability. Class series (more than one lesson) are non-refundable once the first class has occurred.
All participants are required to complete and sign a liability waiver, and read and agree to abide by the safety procedures as outlined by Erin Louise Clancy Studio LLC.
Safety in the Studio:
1. Classes take place in a working ceramic studio with materials and tools that can cause injury and/or serious harm if not properly handled. Although everything in our power is done to minimize risk, there are health hazards associated with clay activities that must be acknowledged. Individuals should be self-aware and interact with the space responsibly with respect to safety.
2. Participants will not load, unload or operate the pottery kilns.
3. Participants will not use equipment unsupervised.
4. Do not wear loose fitting clothing or jewelry that may catch in machinery.
5. Do not wear open toed or open heeled footwear (i.e., flip-flops, sandals or clogs) in the pottery studio.
6. Do not use any equipment unsupervised.
7. Clay sometimes cracks while drying or breaks in the kiln. Taking a class does not guarantee the success of your project. While measures are taken to prevent such an occurrence, some outcomes simply can't be controlled.
8. For safety reasons and due to the commercial nature of the space, classes are intended only for persons aged 18+.
9. For health reasons, please no fragrances or perfumes in the space.
10. Other terms and conditions may apply.
Waiver:
In connection with my involvement in ceramic art classes at Erin Louise Clancy Studio LLC, I hereby release Erin Louise Clancy Studio LLC, its agents, representatives, successors, or assignees, including Erin Louise Clancy Studio LLC management and employees, from all liabilities, actions, claims, damages, demands, costs, and expenses which I am now or in the future have against them, arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in art classes, including enroute to or from the program or its related events.
I understand that the waiver includes, but is not limited to, all injuries to me and or loss of injuries to any personal property. I also understand that this waiver includes, but is not limited to, any claims that are based on my alleged negligence or any other action or inaction of any of the above parties.
